Their Burny RSA-65 CR is a classic 335 type guitar that not only looks. Their Burny RLC-75S, Sustainer (Black) is a guitarists dream, fitted with sustainer pickups that give a continuous sustain like a violin. Guitar designs are based on classic guitars at a fraction of the cost. Fernandes (Burny) guitars are made to a very high specification and are well known for their sustainer pickups.
These are fairly rare, and were the top of the line for Burny during the golden age of Japanese Luthiery. Black Sabbath meets Barbie Dreamhouse.This is a beautiful 80's Burny SG / Les Paul Custom. It's easy to fall in love with this one, it has so much attitude. The tone is a growly, dark and immediate take on the classic SG bark: beefy mids and a fat, juicy low end with a tasty subtle treble. The neck is a moderate profile: not skinny, but not a tree-trunk it's easy to get along with and well balanced against the body so as not to 'dive' when strapped up.
The soldering wasn’t too pretty but all the joints were gone over and everything works as it should.Pickups: Fernandes FVH-2002 passive humbucker x2. Guitar has a non-original VH-1 in the neck (taken from an 3-pickup Burny SG) and a Gibson Burstbucker Pro 2 (slightly hotter wind) in the bridge. Its Burny brand was used for the Gibson replica guitars while the Fernandes brand was used for the Fender replica guitars.Neck: mahogany with rosewood board, 24.75" scale, 15.75" radiusPrevious owner replaced a lot of the electronics some pots, pickups, etc. The Fernandes company was established in 1969 in Japan. There's some minor cracks on each side of the nut in the finish only, we've had a luthier check it over and the neck joint itself isn't compromised. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear only. Headstock has some minor scuffs on the back.
